2000 is a brilliant number, mainly cos it means I can draw people doing the
heh ^-^Tones on Usa in Photoshop CS with this amazing manga screentones tutorial [link] so I'd get it (kinda) right.
Little me-head coloured in Painter 9. I wanted to be in a picture with Usa so...I am. ^^

Pretty good. It is certainly pleasant to see the so-called traditional manga style. You obviously did a magnificent job in selecting the screen tones and "cutting" and "arranging" them in a way that corresponds quite well with the direction of the lighting, which forms the shadows on the female. The dress is probably the best thing about this picture, both the drawing and the application of the tones.
However, there are somethings that can be done to improve this picture. First of all, you might want to take a little bit more time to work on the hair because right now, it looks plain and the screen tone shadows do not add much to add the details on the hair. Second of all, the pose looks a little stiff, which can be attributed to the unnecessarily very straight back. Last, but not least, the right hand might need some improvement, probably because the wrist looks too narrow.

I hadn't thought about the hair, I don't really know what you mean though? You mean more tone, or more detail on separate strands of the hair? ^^ And the back, THANKYOU, it is very straight! I had thought there was something a little...off about her pose, I'm so glad someone put their finger on it for me! Looking at it I just maybe should've curved her downwards a little towards her shoulders. Thanks 
Oh, & yes, the hand is awful; I didn't use a ref & just left it as bad as it is when I inked it, it's people like you clever (& brave lol) enough to point out that my laziness makes pics look bad that are helping me be less lazy!

very nice, there is an amazing amount of detail here, i love the skirt - and I like manga art - though i'm not much of a reader, i can just never pull it off in any clean way. i love the detail on the skirt! and the movement of her hair and the texture of the ground

Thankyou, I was so underconfident about this one! I got pulled back into manga style for an illustration project I got involved in & I already hate it & want to go back to life drawing ¬_¬ But still, I was pleased with the hair & ground

i love life drawing, but i think manga style is a good outlet... even though it takes time and everything it's generally a bit more simple in design... and i'm still horrible at it! haha, so yeah. but this is definitely good!

heh, I'm as yet undecided about manga as a whole, it's where I started out in art aggees ago, but I'm not so fond of it now ¬_¬ I'd probably like it more if I did it better ^^

It really does look good, I think if you had used anymore you would have used to many. The best tone is the one used on the ground, its very realistic looking. I feel so much less artsy around you because you seem to be good at all of it.

& you don't need to feel less artsy! Everyone's got their own style & you sure have yours; I know I could never imitate it. I'm only just getting back into manga style, & besides, my life revolves around art, if I wasn't good at it at all I'd have nothing to live for ¬_¬
