Janie was a strong woman who loved her husband and daughter. Now she's the silent face of an Angel of the Lord, fighting to protect the world.
Because a fanfic about a female Cas made me think over the inherit changes to Jimmy as well. It made me think up Janine "Janie" Novak, wife of Andrew and mother of Claire (*shrug* I like Claire as she is). Working woman with a good job and a hubby who is quite willing to take on a lot of house husband duties, good mother, a woman of faith who was willing to help when an angel ask her.

I also read a fanfic that involved Female Cas. It stuck in my mind till I drew something at least. In my head, I call her Jenny though xD. The fic you're talking about sounds like one I would very much enjoy reading. Do you have a link?

And now my mind mind has wandered to a moderately common crossover - Janie's maiden name was Glasser. Her brother is a disgraced scientist who has a radio show and a thing about there being a robot head on the moon.
(Because I have read my fair share of Stonehenge Apocalypse crossovers that make Jacob Jimmy's twin brother (Jacob was played by Misha).)

I never seen Stonehenge Apocalypse. I'm a littel uncertain wether I should. i've heard many not to complimentary reviews about it. If I was ever to watch it, it'd only be to see Misha xD

Not seen it either, and from what I've read, it's the usual TV movie tripe with bad science. If it turns up on TV here, I'll watch it, but only because it's Misha.
I still am fond of crossovers, because it's easy to extrapolate that Jacob would be the atheist scientist black sheep of the family. That implies all sorts of fun relations with Jimmy.
Also the easy reason why Castiel went to Jimmy and not Jacob is that Jimmy was the believer - the one praying to be of service to Heaven.
I'd love to see someone tackle a fic where Jacob tries to have a go at Cas (thinking he's Jimmy), but then Cas lets Jimmy take control to arhue things out with his brother. Sam and Dean stand back, confused, bemused and wondering if they act like that.
