Description Burned house series...

This is an older pic of mine... I decided to submit some of my older work that I like. It is a burned house in a Texas small town. Scene: Hall Half Bathroom - detail of the door.

My own comments: This part of the house was really odd. It is one of those old houses, at least 80 years old. You can tell by the way it is trimmed with rosettes and lots of other architectural details. The bathroom door had an oval frame with glass, maybe leaded. Look how un-burned the wallpaper is while the door and trim is just scorched to the point of being alligatored. This photo is a detail of the door in the hall. Exposure was better here than the hall shot.

Again: I am not so much looking for crit, just wanted to share

Details:
Taken with Canon AE-1 film camera (35mm)
400 ASA B&W Film
Printed 8x10 on VC RC paper.
28mm lens
Not Photoshopped in any way.
8x10 Print Scanned.

This one's really creepy. That sort of yawning black hole in the middle... Nice work.

There's something rather ominous in the contrast to your dark and lights, which only adds to the drama due to condition and circumstances that led to it becomming that way. Very beautiful.. the bedroom shot gave me chills I haven't felt in some time. Thanks for randomly being 'brought' to my gallery, haha. I hope you enjoyed the brief visit. You have a beautiful gallery, yourself.

maaayybee....I mean because burnt houses tend to ahve unstable frames, especially if they're wood, so you have to be careful
