Because the New Year's party in Paris was such a big dissapoinment (because of the "state of emergency" that France was still in after the riots, NOTHING happened, no fireworks, no countdown, no lights, no NOTHING, which left a fully packed Champs Elysees wondering "wtf?!") the short trip to Tour Montparnasse earlier that night turned out to be the best thing 31'st of december '05 had to offer. Love the lines in the picture: the many intersecting streets, the Eiffel tower of course, and that beam of light it's illuminating. Very nice.

yeah, it totally messed up a lot of my other shots. just goes to prove how hard the wind was blowing, as it was able to move the camera more than one time
