Two pages of a final spread for T S Eliot's poem from Cats. Incomplete text, because I am falling behind. +_+

It's not the best, a three week project done virtually the day before our crit, but I think it's kind of cute.

How come I like things like the weird cockeyed looking stairs, but other people don't? I need everyone to tell me what to draw. ^_^

The cat herself looks wonderful, reminds me of a teacher I had last year. The stairs and the whole victorian-looking setting set a playful mood.

i like the stairs- it gives the impression that its both one of them old old houses where everything is a little screwed up, random beams, tiny doors, weird floors that have a dip in the middle and trip you up and also that the lovely gumbie cat it so very fat, and been there so very long that she has pushed the last step slowly into the ground lol!
I like it and if i ever see the cover etc can go "hey, I kinda know the illustrator" lol.

Lol. Thank you very much. I'm really... I'm really pleased you get that kind of sense of the house just from this one illustration. I don't know if you'll ever see this anywhere, as it was just a college project, but thank you all the same. ^_^

Its a pleasure, I am known for a ridiculously overactive imagination sometimes! But something hs to trigger it lol!

I absolutely LOVE those poems, and the Gumbie Cat is one of my favourites.

A lovely interpretation of her (and indeed her story).

Adorable! I like all the delicate little dots and swirlies in her fur.. and how they appear in the rest of the drawing too. Makes it cute and old-timey, in a way.

yay, more illustrations please!
