Project: 4 environmental paintings that communicate some sort of narrative and progression. Or something.The story is my own, about a boy king who leaves his kingdom to go on a trip to see the big wide world around him, realizes it's not all it's cracked up to be, and then tries to get back home... (in a nutshell.)
This first setting is the boy king's treehouse palace. He lives in a world of games and make-believe, until he meets a crow one day who puts the idea into his head to get out and see the world....
All acrylic ink. This one's kind of a cop out because most of it is just tree leaves using easy wet wash effects, heehee. This one was hard to scan. The bright green-blues of the tree leaves were drastically washed out. I did my best to adjust but it's still not 100%.

The perspective is very nice.
It's obvious a lot of effort has been put into the details. I like the little face peeping out from behind the door and the bird perched on the branch. Really adds life to the picture.

Lol. Um, in order to get a brighter richer blue green I turned on fade correction on my scanner, and it kind of washed out the yellow tones. It was either that or dulled down yellow leaves. But I'm glad you liked it! ^_^
Don't worry about the stuff! Get your trip all planned, it sounds complicated. Have lots of fun and take a ton of pictures! Give me a shout when you get back!
