Wow, this is a really cool piece to come out of a speedpaint tutorial! I am really taken with the softness and muted color palette of the work. The splashes of highlights with the lighted abodes piques my interest. I love the homey, cozy feel of the painting and its subject matter.

My only suggestion really is to think of a focal point. Right now there is a lot of open space right in the middle. If you like, I feel you could add something or pull one of the lighted parts towards the center -- not necessarily dead center...good compositions are rarely even or symmetrical. As I'm sure you know, for some reason, asymmetric designs tend to please the eye. Even a few embers or fireflies floating across the piece could help pull it together.

I really enjoy this painting. It pulled me into a world of forest sprites and the feeling of a nice warm dwelling while it's a cold autumn about to give way to winter. I also get a bit of a European and fairy tale vibe in this piece. You're doing great with texture and feeling in this work. I look forward to see where you go with your art in the future.

Hello there, I am here from: , and I am just here to drop off a critique.
So, first impressions, I absolutely love this piece! The darkened atmosphere with the hint of firelight is simply wonderful. I love how it makes you feel as if you are in some far off world when really, all your doing is looking at the picture.
Also, I really love the trees, they are all so unique from one another. Whenever I attempt at making trees, they all seem to come out looking the same, I'm working on that though, but I digress.
Anyways, I also like how you seemed to make this piece look more traditional than digital, at least that's how I see it anyways. The piece just has that sort of texture that when you look at it, it seems like it was done traditionally and not digitally. Don't worry, I can still tell it's digital though!
I don't really have much in the way of critiques as far as this piece goes. If I had to say something though, I would say maybe give your grass a little more detail, I know it's nighttime and you can't see too much, but for the spot up close near the viewer where that bottom light is showing, I feel the grass could use some more detail.

Hello there~ I’m from ‘s weekly comment project!

First thing first! I really like the dark atmosphere in this picture  I know Halloween has already passed away, but this would have been a very fitting picture for that holiday  (With all those orange/red lights in a dark mysterious forest… and probably some tiny mythical creatures living inside those trees)

Also the lighting here is also nicely done.  It does create a good color contrast against the cold atmosphere in the background.  The number of light spots are not too many that they felt out of place, but more of a nice additional seasoning to the picture.

I also like that you could tell the differences in the distance of those trees in the picture  It does add a good depth.  Textures of the tree barks in the front trees looks great as well  It does give of a vibe of the picture being colored by traditional methods = v = (Which is also nice~)

Don’t know what kind of advice to give for the sake of improving this… haha… Only just really curious on what kind of being would live in a tree community like this~

Anyhow~ It’s a great picture with nice dark mysterious atmosphere and a neat lighting  Keep up the good work
