Yeah. It was about a Naga that was resting in a salt water lake and she thought she saw something in the water. So she looked harder and saw something swimming around. She thought it was another Naga, but it was a mermaid. When the Naga caught the mermaid, she was surprised to find that out and the story goes from there.

Actually she's a lamia, not a naga. Lamia have full upper bodies and arms like a human, while naga just have the head (and sometimes torso) of a woman.

Wow! They are so pretty - what a neat idea for a mythical friendship. I like the crossover of different mythologies- never realized until now- that Nagini (the evil snake in harry potter) was the female form of the term in Hindi- Thanks for teaching me something today
