Description I am sick to death of magazines these days, filled with images of stick thin girls to make us all feel as if we don't fit in, as if we're not acceptable, attractive if we don't look like these people. Its images like this that are probably pushing young, insecure girls towards dieting and surviving on next to no food. I'm not saying that we should be stuffing ourselves and not caring about what we look like, but I feel that dieting, especially in young growing girls, could damage your body. People often diet, but then give up, so your body is yo-yoing from different food regimes, which isn't a good idea, especially in young people who are still growing and need certain things in their diet that their new eating regime is not allowing them. I honestly think that if just eating healthily and balanced and exercising is a much better solution. I know I've heard doctors say that to combat osteoporosis in later life, women from adolescence to their early twenties should exercise, why not kill two birds with one stone and lose weight that way? And in honesty, what’s more attractive? A stick thin woman or a curvy one?

It's stupid to say not to diet. There's nothing wrong with dieting, but you need to know the difference between dieting and been anorexic.

For me, personally, I think that being stick thin is more attractive. I take portraits of people and thin them a little because I think it is more atractive. I don't think the opposite is ugly, though. My own body isn't as thin as I'd like it to be because I'm too lazy to work out and eat healthy.

Be conscious of what you put in your body, and what you do with your body. That's healthy. That's common sense.

But don't restrict yourself to a ridiculous regimen of self-loathing and self-deprivation through meticulous diet and discipline. We've got to learn to love ourselves the way we are. If we can't love our curves, what makes us think we're gonna love slim limbs and knobby knees?
