Sorry, I think it's just really fantastic that you are also going through a Bowie phase. It literally sent me giggling to see this. You're improving so much, too! Your subtlety with light and shadow in relation to the structure of the face is getting better (though David Bowie's facial features are sympathetic to such studies!). Same with your articulation in the eyes. His neck needs some work. Same with the area around the lips. Two places I find very difficult to get right as well. Try doing some quick linear bust portraits of yourself or your friends (or old people actually work best for this assignment), focusing on the structure of the face and neck. Let the line of your pencil follow the collarbone, tendons, jaw, zygomatic arch, etc in one fluid movement. Once you get that down, you can literally draw any face without having areas that look doughy/flat/really wrong. Also, time to start thinking about how to activate backgrounds. <=also something I find extremely difficult, especially with portraits. What areas do you want to emphasize? What areas do you want to fall back into space? The tone and variation of your background will help you with that. Ahhh! Keep up the great work though! I'm glad to see you're still here.

Yeah, unfortunately the picture for this didn't really show a lot of detail on his neck- it was just this flat plain of neck with nothing happening, so I can see how it looks kind of awkward.
I completely agree with the mouth critique, I wasn't happy with this point of the drawing. I hate mouths. >.<
