this kitty was perched at the base of the stairsSTARING at me . . . looking as though he were
painted to match the house.
later he rolled over and showed me his belly
just to prove his eyes may be intense,
but he's sweet as the next.

The reasons this photo totally works for me are the rich, somewhat muted colors that seem to compliment each other so brilliant and the ingenious expression of the cat!
This is one of those photos that soothes and puts the viewer into the most lovely mood.
I could sit there all day and cuddle this little fella!
