Description
A WIP for the birth scene. This scene is so pivotal, the very moment when love, death and birth touch and meet in the darkest night - a moment where things change forever, when death parts you forever from your loved one, and yet when new life begins to blossom, as the eyes of the newborn open. Soon, after her dying mother's heart stops, a new life will also begin to run like a secret fire in her body. Death seems for a moment to overshadow it all, but love and life are really what irrevocably link the three together, and will tide them over from darkness into dawn.Finla colour version:

Thanks a lot!! I've just finished it - woow, it was difficult, it took me ages, and I couldn't decide what colours to use. There was a near-accident and I almost messed the drawing, I managed to save it but.. only just!!

Wow... that´s incredible! Your thoughts are so well written and the scene you drew expresses so much, the dark, the death, their expressions aren´t happy but worried, the sorrow, and in Edward´s face I see that he only wants to show her Nessie shortly, so that he can help her again as soon as possible, keeping her alive... maybe you intended this or my overanalysing is starting again^^ It´s kind of sad that Bella lies there motionsless, her condition is so bad that she can´t really show how happy she is to see Renesmee... it´s really shocking the way you drew her (not in a negative way, it makes the drawing very touching). Wow so many emotions... And the composition seems to tell us the fear of Edward and Nessie of loosing her because they are together and alive, they want to be united with her, but for now she lies there... and to me it seems that she´s near the moment where her heart stops. And the sloping bed again...
I am really impressed by this WIP, I mean I can see so much although it´s only a scetch... incredible!
It´s an amazing and touching artwork and I can´t wait to see how you will finish it...

Stunningly beautiful and so thought through! The idea is great and I can`t wait to see the finished version. I already love it so much, you can really feel all those different emotions swirling around in the scenery. Love, happiness and at the same time loss and sorrow. Love Death Birth!!! Their expressions are perfect and little Nessie is so cute.

Thank you so much sweetie!! I've had this in mind for a long time now. But at first it was only going to be a quick sketch of Edward and Nessie. Then I though- no, no I need to add Bella in the picture. The three of them. It's an important moment. Then I thought - we'll need a background. Aaarg! It's going to take more time than I thought to finish! Bye bye quick sketch!!
I'm still thinking about the general tone of the picture, and where to put some lights or a lamp, and I also want trees in the window behind them. I'l do al that tomorrow!!

You`re very welcome sweetie! Yeah, sometimes you start a quick sketch and then it turns out to be a complex drawing or painting in the end. But I love this sort of development.
