The Midwest Brony Division had a contest back in 2011 to pick the mascot, so this WAS my entry. I won.I couldn't decide whether it should be a stallion or a mare... so I chose both! Thus... Metro Blues and Midwest Muse.
I was just informed this was posted to a terrible pony OC tumblr because of the cutie marks. TO EXPLAIN: those cutie marks are super complex I know, lol but YOU try fitting in everything that our group loves and stands for! These are not OCs, they're mascots so they don't represent one single person. Thank you for reading!
Metro Blues: symbolizes the Chicago dwellers of the group, complete with film and photography talents as well as a love for sports and music!
Midwest Muse: symbolizes our more country members with plentiful crops, flora, rivers and lakes. Her talents are writing and traditional art.

I think it's awesome they represent groups of people ^^ and the designs really fit too.

I think the cutie marks are to complex. It is Like they both have 4 cutie mark each pasted together. I feel it would have been better to find something that could represent everything. Maybe a pencil that draws a tree. The tree would represent nature, and the pencil would represent art.

They're not meant to represent one person, they're meant to represent a group of people. They're mascots, not actual OCs. The artist's comment explains that.

I've gotta agree with you. I thought the same thing about the cutie marks till I realized they were supposed to represent the entire Midwest and now I see how well they fit. Well done and bravo!

With Midwest, I can say; writing a novel with one hoof while painting pictures of flowers with the other ON A BOAT on a lake in the country while also eating an apple.
