What I really like about this is the harshness of the colors. It's not uniform or elegant, but has a certain regal quality to it. It really spells out Thorin's demeanor quite well. Nicely done!

I saw this and immediately got all bubbly and full of feels! I do that with a lot of pictures, but yours really really struck me hard. Why? Your composition, lighting, color, pose, and above all the depth of Thorin's eyes really hits hard. Outstanding, stupendous work!

Niesamowite. Thorin wygląda jakby przysiadł obok i chciał uraczyć kogoś historią o krasnoludzkim męstwie i honorze. Ciemne tło dodaje niezykłego klimatu, a wykonanie - zdawać by się mogło, że kilka smagłych pociągnięć - nadaje mu niemal mitycznego wyglądu. Nic tylko kubek w kubek wyobrażenie Tolkiena. <3
Cały majestat Thorina na jednym obrazku. Braknie tylko reszty kampanii i mogą ruszać na Samotną Górę.

Absolutely stunning brushstrokes, a beautiful face and perfect color in a chiaroscuro technique. This piece is absolutely PERFECT.

I love how you block color in. I always find, whether it's in digital or traditional art that "under paintings" are the most intriguing. The way the sweet creamy purples build up the side of the skull, and just the minute swashes of vermillion that create those fingers and cheek bones! I know that this would look just as lovely with more detail and blending, but I think it's fantastic as is.

I know I already commented, but I have to say, this is the best art of Thorin I've ever seen. As soon as I saw it I was drawn in by his eyes. They hold so much emotion and life. That's what this picture has. Life. No other art I've seen has captured Thorin as well as you have. His eyes show everything, even when his face is serious and brooding, and guarded. Emotion of sadness, loss, yet fire to journey on. Every time I look at it, it's like I'm drawn in and have become a part of his story, even if it's only for a minute or so.
