Description A hidden self portrait. Hidden behind a water droplet after the rain waiting to begin the next step of the water cycle as it makes its way to the ground. Hidden behind berries and leaves.

It seems like I'm always hiding myself in some ways.

Wow, this is really great. It reminds me kind of like the "berries" one i did. although yours is way cooler with the blurred face in the background... awsome job!

Again brilliant work on the focus, not sure about this one, I think I liked the last one because your eyes were in it.

Simple and pretty. Great focus, the right berry is a little hard to make out tho.

Its a great shot, but I dont like the positioning of your face. I think your nose should have been out of the shot. Just the lips, near the dripping water from the berries. If you could re shoot this (with the water drop...), I would deffinitly suggest changing around how much of your face is in the shot. I think you might have to move closer to the camera to get your nose out, since if you just moved your face up the berry might be too low to acheive the same effect.

water... oh yeah, love the water, love the reference to water in the description... water, I swear, is the most underestimated, un appreciated molecule, people just don't understand how truly unique and unusual it is, and how all the things that make it act nothing like anyother liquid are the same things that make our life, and the life of everything that surrounds us, possible....

OK, now to the capture...

This is really well done, I like how the water droplet is in perfect focus, creating a nice depth of field, and the compostion of the the entire image is extreamly well done. Nice work

It's so very sad how people don't appreciate or realize how big a part water plays in each of us & the world. I could have stayed outside all day watching the water droplets falling off that bush. I've had a love of water and rain ever since I was born & an odd fear of large bodies of it (well, that more has to do with my fear of large fish biting me heh).

Thanks for the comments! they're much appreciated.

when I was taking chemistry I swear I couldn't read enough material on the stuff, it just facinates me, because everything in life revolves around it, and it properties, all the way down to plants being able to maintain the way they do, its all because of the way water works... thats not even getting into the biochemistry of the human body and the roles it plays in our bodies... I am seriously going to shut up now.

at least you've taken an interest and appreciate the most basic yet seriously complex things in the world! observation is the key to a higher plane of thought.

damn right! My girlfriend thinks I'm nuts that I am still entracnced when a car drives by and the air is stired, to me it simply shows that air is a tangeble thing and reacts much like a wave when disrupted, a wave pushed outward, molecules knocking into one another, and the reality that with every flow molecules for miles shift ever so slightly... most all my friends feel the same way she does, they just look at me funny.

thanks it took quite a few shots to get it right! The wind was blowing and the sun kept slipping in and out behind clouds all while trying to hold the camera and model at the same time = pain in the butt!
