It only gets worse when Christmas starts to lose all the magic it used to have as you get older.

I've had my share of those, but mainly it's during my adult years when I didn't give a crap about receiving gift cards or gift baskets from The Swiss Colony or anything like that since what I REALLY wanted for the past several Christmases...well, you can't give it, you can't even buy it, and it'll never happen in this lifetime or any other, and the only hint I can give is that it's often the subject of such songs as Rod Stewart's "Some Guys Have All The Luck" and REO Speedwagon's "In My Dreams" (from their 1987 "Life As We Know It" album).

I know. I'm a sad, pathetic human being who's doomed to die alone, without experiencing the joys of having some semblence of a social life or a love life.
