This looks and feels a lot like a Phil Hale, do you know of him? If you don't, you ought to look him up, I'm sure you'd enjoy his stuff. More than likely you already know who he is, though.

wow. maybe it is just a brush test but the color and texture is really beautiful. i do think he could stand to have some hair though. right now it just kind of looks like he's missing the top of his dome. still, very nice piece. and the background really works despite being so visually intense
