•Self Image•
Upfront, Niki seems confident about her looks, flaunting and bragging about herself. But of course, this is just a performance(and a possible coping mechanism). She actually suffers from an acute form of BDD, causing her to be displeased with her looks. (Once Her files are altered by Monika, her BDD intensified and she developed Bulimia as a result.)

•Backstory•
Niki’s mother is a Spanish woman named Natalia, that had moved to japan for a modeling job in Tokyo. She met Niki’s father because he was a photographer in one of her shoots. They hooked up for one night, and Natalia ended up conceiving Niki. Natalia was not prepared to be a mother, but she tried her best. Niki grew up to learn to view her body critically as her mother did. She also had to learn how to cope with the fact that her mother was hopping from man to man in order to survive. At one point in her life she even had to live in shelters with her mother because of how unstable Natalia’s job was. But eventually Natalia found an older, wealthy Japanese businessman that agreed to look after her and Niki, if he married her. She agreed, wanting a stable life for her and her daughter. From there on, Niki got whatever she wanted, being treated like a princess. But at a price. When she was younger, her step father would often sexually abuse her when Natalia was out at photo shoots. Because of this, Niki if often a little jumpy around older men and hates being touched by people.
In school she was always popular, but most of her friendships were hollow. Niki began to feel like she wasn’t attractive enough, and she felt like she had to fill in her supermodel mother’s shoes. Because of this stress, she began to act out at school, skipping class, etc.

Because of Niki’s tendencies to skip class and misbehave, she got forced into redoing senior year, as well having to participate in school activities, aka, joining a club. Since she can’t be bothered to actually do anything, Niki chose a small, lesser known club that could easily be taken advantage of. Since the Literature club was small, new and had little school facultie supervision, she figured she would join and have her way with the club. Until MC joined, Niki had zero interest in the club activities. She would sit at the back of the class, feet on the desk and phone in hand, ignoring everyone.

~Monika~
]Monika at first tried to convince Niki to participate, but eventually gave up on account of her stubborn behavior. Later on when she starts to participate in club activities, she casually picked on Monika, calling her “princess” because of her social status and behavior. She also frequently asking her why she hangs out with theses “losers”, jokingly.

~Sayori~
Niki pretends to find her childish attitude annoying, telling her to “grow up”. But deep down She finds Sayori’s positivity comforting.

~Natsuki~
She finds joy in picking on Natsuki for her size, often calling her a chibi and pinching her cheeks. Though Niki is actually secretly jealous of her small frame.

~Yuri~
Niki finds her personality kinda boring, but loves Yuri’s reactions, so she loves to tease her as well.

•Relationship with MC•
Niki finds MC interesting. She was intrigued by him when he first appeared with Sayori one afternoon. After going up and putting her two sense into the situation, she took one of Natsuki’s cupcakes and sat back in her spot and began to eat it. To her surprise, she heard her name. MC was calling her over to sit with them. Even more surprising, she listened. Usually she would ignore the club members, but for some reason she found herself wanting to spend time with them. From then on, she would join in on the club activities and interact with MC and the other club members.

•Writing style•
Since Niki has never written poems before, her style is quite amateurish. At first she doesn’t take it seriously, but after MC encourages her to try and improve her writing(if her route was chosen), she starts to write descriptive poems about different things such as philosophical topics and self image alluding to her own conditions.

Niki gets a lot more aggressive towards the others, and her self hatred becomes more apparent. She would often leave conversations to go “Look and my fugly self in the mirror” and “hang on let my go hork up the rest of the shit in my stomach.”

•Death•
Since Niki Strongly disliked her appearance (BDD), She started to binge on food periodically, then immediately purge all of what she ate, feeling disgusted with herself. But that wasn’t enough. She would began to take illegal dieting pills with horrible side effects. She would begin to rapidly lose weight, get dizzy spells, minor seizures and toward the end, internal bleeding.
On the day of her death, Niki’s face was sunken in and pale. MC pointed it out, saying “Are you ok? You look kinda...sickly.” After he said this, Niki cried and ran to the bathroom. She took double the lethal amount of the dieting pills, and overdosed in the school bathroom.
