Description Any critiques and comments are REALLY appreciated ^__^

This is Shirayuki Mizore from the anime "Rosario + Vampire". She's a Yuki Ona "Snow Woman" who controls the power of ice. Cool series, check it out sometime!

The line art for this suprisingly only took me 20 minutes, where usually it takes me about 2-3 hours. I'm hoping this means that my drawing skills are improving

The shading took about 4 hours to do, most of it was that dark tone in her hair. Now that I look at it, I think I should have done it a shade of two darker because her hair in the anime is purple

In case anyone is wondering, that isnt a cigarette or a pocky stick in her mouth; its a lollipop She loves sweets.

Thanks ^^ I did do a lot of Inuyasha fan art in the past so I guess I'm still stuck in Inuyasha-mode.

Actually, the lollipop helps snow men/women keep their body tempurature regulated in averagely warm tempuratures, I have no idea why, but that's what I heard...

what they do is keep them a extremely low temperatures and they stay that way somehow.

The more you do it, the more skilled you get and you can learn to do things faster than usual. Besides,I see nothing wrong with this. You need to get a grip.....good grief

you know I'm very pessimistic about whatever I draw... I can't help it.

OK I just have to say (ask) this... how is it that everyone takes so long to shade in a picture, when I can draw, color and shade the whole thing in inder a quarter of the time? I dont know whats up with that

The picture is beautiful, very nice work. I like the shading, as well as the expression

Thanks very much ^_^

Well for me it takes to shade because I do such small areas at a time. Then I blend the shading and repeat the process two or three times. I dunno maybe you do that same thing but are just faster at it One of my major faults is that I take WAY too long when I draw, which is why I don't make a career out of it, and probably will never be able to

Ty-Co In reply to liv4themoments [2008-06-18 04:26:03 +0000 UTC]

Maybe that's my problem. I always do shading one time, becuase I feel any mistake will destroy the enitre piece. You would think that would make me draw slower, but somehow it doesnt
