I agree with you. Yes, Jera is mean to Iki but she lost her children and she maybe thinks that if she shows him effection it'll be like she betrays her true sons.

As Jera, I hate her for how she is so hard on Iki, how unnecessarily mean she can be towards others, her sadistic tendencies, the fact her approval standards are always so high and because she tried to mess up Iki's chances with Kaya for no other reason than she liked being cruel towards him.
But...
As a mother, I can respect her for having a strong will and fierce determination which are necessary for the survival of her pack, in spite of losing two of her children she remains tough as ever and the fact that she DID raise Iki despite not even being her own child is admirable enough.
Jera is far from the most likeable character but there is some good in her deep down.
Awesome artwork by the way! You did an excellent job. Also the title seems like exactly something Jera would say. It may seem minor but I like how fitting it is.

This actually makes me wanna cry. At first, I never could understand why Jera had to trip on everyone, but now I know exactly how she feels. Imagine trying to walk in her paws and witness your everyone in your family except your only daughter freeze to death. That's a traumatizing experience. Keep your head up, Jera.
