I painted this illustration for the German Manga&Anime magazine "Koneko".The girl is a character of my story "Nebelmeer" which was published in "Paper Theatre 7".

I like how the placing of her hand could be interpreted as though she's either pushing her hair out of her face or she's being shy. The detail on her clothing and jewelry is also very beautiful!

Actually I rather thought of the Ganges when I painted this picture. But I think there's the same problem with pollution. It's a pity, really.
Anyhow, I didn't intend to depict a real existing river, but the Ganges was definitely a major inspiration.
