A real artist with eventually draw with anything they can find on whatever paper is available. Β Some of my best work is with a school pencil on Lined paper. lol

I'd like to know how you draw these pale shades with a ballpoint pen? I once tried it out, but found it terrible difficult. Much more frightening was the fact to not be able to erase anything

A pen is used much like a pencil is. The best pen I've found to use is Bic pens. When you use verrrrrrry very light pressure, and the lines are light, it's easier to blend the ink with a q-tip. And when the ink is dry, it shades pretty much the same if not better when it's dry. See, ballpoint ink is oil-based, so it can be used a variety of ways. The best way to shade is to do very light crosshatching. Also, the Q-Tip brand q-tips work the best. Cheap generic ones fall apart too easily. Plus, you can use the ink built up on the tip of a q-tip to blend out areas that you want to be smooth in the picture, such as skin. I hope this helped! It seems the artist gets so many comments and doesn't have enough time to respond to them all. ^_^; It happens, though.

VERY NICE !!! At least we always know how to make those items do what we want them to do !!! lol There's a lot to be said for computers and graphics programs, but I like the old fashioned way, ... pen and paper and Q-tips, better I do believe. You did an awesome job !!!
