Oooh, I don't know the mushroom pirate from the books (haven't read them yet) but I love these! They're so unique! What a great idea, painting those little Russian dolls

haha actually I just wanted to make a mushroom.. then he ended up being a pirate... There isn't one in the books @_@

Those are so cute! The Mad Hatter is my favorite. Are they solid or do they really open? I love matroshkas so much.

Thank you! They really open. Its like a DIY kit you can buy at Urban Outfitters that are just wood. Unfortunately a couple of them wont open because the paint dried in the area to open them.

This is awesome! I'm russian, so I know like.. all about matroshkas (that's what they're called in russian) cuz every single person in russia basically just has at least one in their house somewhere... but yeah, this is pretty damn cool. A great take on it.
