They all sound very mature but all have the same meaning...and some even flame the art which personally I like, it's very good already and you've even improved since you uploaded this.

I found this picture by reading a journal of one of the deviants I watch.
He/she was enraged.
Pictures, sketches, random figures, they become art when they move those viewing them on a deeper level. Whether they offend, anger, sadden, amuse, enlighten, etc. It doesn't matter. If your picture here made someone feel, and apparently it has, they have made you an artist.
The deeper the level of feeling it invokes the better the art is. Therefore, this is amazing regardless of what anyone says to offend you.
Now become the artist. Detatch yourself from the piece. Don't defend. Don't compromise by changing anything. Realize that you have done something that the majority of those living will never do...

i can understand what people are upset about - i too find what is said in the artist comments completely inappropriate and offensive - however, the art itself isn't offensive -there's much worse around- so of course it isn't going to be blocked. but it is very immature for you to change just the title and leave up what is said in the artist comments. just wrong. don't be offended by someone speaking up with an opinion. she wasn't trying to diss your art, she was just speaking up before things in the comments got more out of control. i would suck it up and change your artist comments.

Sorry but its out of line.
Taking apart the art and what ever the orgianl title was, I know someone personally who was raped. I wont go into details but it ruined her life.
And I dont lugh at any jokes about any form of others suffering.
The best thing you could do to deal woth this issue would be to remove those comments that are causing offence to so many here.

Maybe you don't think about it from others points of views, I personally don't believe you need to be offended by rape, I'm not, and I have some history similar to yours, I am offended by the comments. I think you have taken this too seriously in my opinion. I can see how it might be offensive, if I thought they were meant to be. If I actually thought that this girl in real life thought REAL people being raped was funny, then yes I would be offended.
However, no malice was intended with the artwork or comments, so the artists doesn't deserve to be attacked for them.

I don't think she was attacking the artist, firstly. Just rightly stating that she was offended by the comments in the comment box.
And secondly, the thinking that intent is all that matters, and outcome of actions or words doesn't, has let a lot of discrimination and abuse happen throughout the world.
"Haha, that's so gay!" <-- a common joke amongst young people today, and not meant with actual malice toward gay people in most cases. Still, it is derogatory to gays just as much as "haha! That's so black!" would be to black people. It creates a stereotype, and the humor in it makes that stereotype acceptable.
Basically, whether someone intends their words to be malicious or not matters little if indeed the words do cause harm.

first of all I don't think you know the full situation so...you probably shouldn't get involved.
secondly...continuously reporting a deviation even when DA has already stated that the artist has done nothing wrong is, in my opinion, attacking an artist. So is posting journals linking to the picture for other people to visit thus encouraging flames.
as for the rest...I'm really not willing to get into debates about all forms of slurs and discrimination. Cause if I did...I could certainly bring up quite a few less then polite comments made about the artist judging her completely on the fact she's 16 and a she. That's also discrimination and stereotyping.
I'm not willing to go into this further. I stated my opinion and I really don't care if anyone agrees or not. I'll simply leave this on this note: by creating drama about it...you are promoting it more so then you would if you just ignored it.

Perhaps you're right. I don't really care one way or another about the picture, but I know `Kaz-D to be a very kind and integral part of dA. If people start flaming her for stating an opinion, I'm going to check it out because she's a friend and deserves the defense. I didn't comment on anyone else's comments, just yours because I do care about the way words are used.

Wow... I can't believe how many people were so very irked by the fact that you had "rape" in the title... have they nothing better to do than to pick at wording? I mean, if you were to put in words like rape, abortion, abuse, domestic violence... and search them on deviantart you would find TONS of them in the humor department.
