I've been trying to get to Sonic character refs, I wanted to keep stuff to blank sheets instead of lined paper(like I did for the Kirby refs) but I should get over that. It won't matter once I turn these into digital edits that will be inked & colored in. I might redo her new dress

Aleena is Sonia, Manic & Sonic's mother along with being Jules's wife, she was also the queen leading over Christmas Island. She was a fair & understanding leader until Robotnik overthrew her leading to going into hiding & separating her children for their safety. After that she helped the resistance & her children from the shadows, waiting for the correct time to reunite with her only children due to being told a prophecy about overthrowing Robotnik & taking back the throne with her children becoming a council. Aside from her work as a leader, Aleena is a kind & sweet woman that loves her children but won't hesitate to fight to protect her family.

Aleena's family has dabbled in magic leading to her studies in becoming a mage, her family also has a long history with music & making music themed things such as those in her bloodline being able to activate instrument medallions that turn into instruments they play & also can become weapons. Her family often teach their children music & when the time comes allow them to chose an instrument they like which will be the instrument medallion they wear, due to the war Aleena chose the instruments for her kids. Despite this the children were able to learn on their own one way or another & learn together at some point. Aleena's husband has a medallion as a gift to welcome him into the family but due to being married into the family & not born into it, the medallion does nothing though is still a nice gift to show he's considered one of them.

Now-a-days Aleena helps out with the remaining towns of Christmas Island, rebuilding everything. She's part of a council she helped with after the war, she & her kids hope to find Sonic one day. While she is still the same, she feels guilt for not doing better especially after realizing to late that Sonic was afraid of not being good enough to be a prince when the war was over. While she has a lot of guilt & regrets she's slowly trying to look toward the future.
