These are two new Warrior cat apprentices, Silverpaw and Emberpaw. There is a story behind this picture...

Hawkstar clawed his way up to the High Branch and summoned the cats of OakClan.

"May all cats gather together!" he called. Emberpaw padded from the apprentice's den followed by her brother, Sootpaw. Her orange fur shimmered gold in the New Leaf sun. "There is a new warrior to name."

Emberpaw purred loudly. Her den mate, Gingerpaw, walked proudly up to the High Branch. His mother, Daisyfrost, walked up to him and licked down a stray tuft of fur on his head. She then walked aqwardly back to her spot near the elder's den. She had broken her leg, falling out of a tree sevral moons back and it never healed properly, making her permanently crippled.

Hawkstar leaped off of the High Branch and stood before Gingerpaw. He looked over to the apprentice's mentor, Longscar. "Longscar, is Gingerpaw ready to become a full warrior of OakClan?"

The black warrior dipped his head. "Yes Hawkstar," he meowed.

"Then I, Hawkstar, leader of Oakclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn,"He meowed, sounding as if he was a StarClan warrior himself. Hawkstar looked down at Gingerpaw and continued. "Gingerpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Gingerpaw stiffened with determination. "I do."

"Then by the power of StarClan I give you you Warrior name." Gingerpaw stood up straight. Gingerpaw, from this moment you shall be known as Gingerclaw. Starclan honors your strength and empathy." Hawkstar stepped forward and rested his muzzle on Gingerclaw's forhead. In response he licked Hawkstar's shoulder as a sign of respect.

"Gingerclaw! Gingerclaw! Gingerclaw!" yowled the Clan. Emberpaw joined them in the chant. Gingerclaws tabby pelt looked like a blazing fire in the sun. She felt a strong pressure in her heart. Was this, affection? Emberpaw looked over at Silverpaw who was sitting beside her and noticed that she was looking up at Gingerclaw with her deep purple eyes that held pure admiration and perhaps something more. Emberpaw felt what seemed to resentment in her stomache. But why? Silverpaw had never said or done anything the least bit inconsiderate to her. Silverpaw was just happy for Gingerclaw. Wasn't she?
