It's not going to absorb, her life is essentially trapped inside that tear. It's a pretty vulnerable way to live, but that's how it is.

Yes, I'm sure she is very proud of her Dad right now, but hang on a mo... if she now contains the dark, what the heck is in that tear? If the tear is the dark light, then anyone who holds it could wield it. I'm confused here. I thought the light should have gone INTO her, like it did when Ari was saved as a baby.
Kira's red and green eyes are pretty cool.

Rikus did pass on the darkness to Kira and only Kira, but it is also contained in that gem. It's basically like having your heart in your hand. Other people can hold it, but it's still her heart. That does however, make her existence very vulnerable. No one can just take her power, but it's also very easy to destroy it.
Shipping is when people match two characters in a relationSHIP. People shipping Ari and Kira means that they think of them, or want them to be a couple

YAY KIRA'S BACK, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!!
Awww, I'm actually getting teary-eyed!! She's back and so so proud of Daddy but she's also going to miss him!! (And that face touch....you're really tempting me to ship them...even though they'll be just friends. Now that they're together again maybe something will happen in the future 
Also, is Ari okay? Did he fall asleep or something? And the darkness Rikus gave her, is it like going to absorb into her body or is it something she needs to carry at all times in order to preserve her life as the vessel of darkness? (Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I understand what's going on)

Yeah, all three of them have a lot to sort out, but at the same time their actions today really spoke volumes about their characters to each other.
Ari just passed out because his body couldn't take the strain anymore. As for Kira's power, it's going to stay within the gem. It's a very vulnerable way to live, having your heart in your hand, but that's how it will be.
