Description
This one was a lot of fun. It was featured in Seattle's Emerald City Comic-Con book "Monsters and Dames 2010". It's a book entirely filled with contributions from artists who attended the show this weekend, and every image is of a monster/girl theme. People were scrambling to get them signed by every artist all through the convention, and I probably got to sign like 50 of these.Plus, proceeds from the book go to charity. It was a great experience!

Epic Scale.
Rain hitting the monster is fantastic
The presence of the monsters face is deep
I really like how you divided the drawing with
that diagonal hunk of metal.
The colors are wonderful, the girl is illuminated
by the fire and separated from the cold colors of
all that is beyond her little shelter.
The lights on the robots arms are not really doing it
for me though. They do help balance everything but I think
they lack interest, maybe a reflection on his metal arm or
a more intense white might work.
Anyway, it's absolutely wonderful.

Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. I altered the lights on the robot's arms quite a bit, changing the colors and figuring out if they should be lasers or merely lights. I just wanted a little more visual interest in his arm, ah well

that's bad ass, i love the colors, and the awesome heroine :-D And i see a nice reference to general grievous from Star Wars and a slight reference to Alphonse from Fullmetal Alchemist :-D Wonderful work.

I'm not familiar with Alphonse..but I do love General Grievous! I'd say this robot has some elements of him as well as, naturally, the Transformers!

Ah, hell yeah! You can never go wrong with transformers! Grievous is my 2nd fav star wars villain, with Darth Maul beingy first

Your robot is freaking beautiful...as well as your woman
It's like that inevitable moment when, "Aw hell. It's got me" in a scifi movie; the robot reminds me of the Iron Giant meets Nightmare from Soul Calibur meets the HULK.
