Deceptive - Though many members of the herd suspect he’s a blackwood crossbred because he’s not fireproof and Blackwood raiders are most common interlopers, Edmond is an excellent liar to those just meeting him. He’s learned to craft an excellent cover story for his faults.
Spiritual - you can’t be raised by firebringers and not be spiritual. Edmond was raised with a healthy respect for the gods and a deep love for his religion.
Artistic - though he’s not a craftsman himself, he admires art and craftsmanship like the fire dancers and flamesmiths’ work.
Spry - No grass grows under Edmond’s feet. Part of the reason he left the Winter Watch, he needed to be where things were happening.
Ambitious - Edmond has his sights set high in the military rankings, aspiring to be a general to gain respect from his herd.

Appearance: Handsome, almost feminine in the face with large expressive eyes and a gently sloped profile. He bears a whirl on the left side of his neck. He has a short, strong back and lithe but sturdy long legs. His coat stays very short in the summer and his winter coat takes a long time to fill in and shed out. His mane is cropped close to the neck except just behind his ears where it is fine and flutters in the breeze like fire.

A crossbred fawn is born to an extremist doe. Its sire is unknown but rumored to be a Blackwood. The doe lets the rumors be rumors and never reveals to anyone who the father of her child is. All the fawns in this line have either born fire magic or been talentless.
