attempt at critique:
The pose is cute, but it seems unbalanced. Other than that, i can't find ahytning to critique. Nice colours, cute pose.

Lovely picture ^^ I always liked the idea of using watercolors on water themed pictures. For critique, I think a little detail in pen on the face would be nice, it would clear up the features some more. I also think the frog could stand out some more. The perspective on the sidewalk also seems to be a little bit off: the lines of the sidewalk should be pointing towards the same vanishing point.

As far as composition goes, I think she and the frog could be moved to the right of the picture so that the focus of the picture isn't on the very edge; it would be good to have her looking into the picture, not off the edge.

All that aside, it's a very cute picture and the anatomy looks good, you should be proud!

Thank you for your reply, I wish I had a brown ink pen to add detail to her face because I think black would be a bit harsh.

I like the concept of this painting, and I respect anyone who can paint, it's always been something I wanted to get into I like the pose of the girl and the mixture of colors from the rain and the sky. However I feel the umbrella could have been made wider to give it more depth, because it sort of resembles a mushroom right now. And her face, if it had more detail it would be captivating, but other than those two things, i liked the painting, well done

You should give painting a go its really fun.

I would have added more detail to her face but I am still new to watercolor and don't have that much control.

This is really cute, you're really good at watercolours! I like how you've done her hair, you actually managed to give it some texture; something I've always found hard to do with watercolour. The background is lovely, the colours are wonderful and the texture of the paper really adds to the concrete.

For critique, I can't see too much wrong with her anatomy; but her expression seems off. She doesn't appear to be looking at the frog, her eyes seem to be wandering a bit. The lips look a little bumpy, but watercolours so it's okay. The only other thing is the way her umbrella sits. It looks like it should overlap her head but it doesn't. Overall it's a really cute picture, the shading is amazing <3

do you think her eyes would look better if I made the a little darker at the bottom?

someday I will master the art of the umbrella! Just no today...

Thanks I think watercolor is quickly becoming one of my favorite medium to work with.

I think it's just the positioning of the left one (the one closet to the viewer), the right one seems to be looking down but the left one is looking straight on, I wouldn't sweat it though. If you do that and it turns out bad I'll feel bad D:

Umbrellas are haaaaaard

No worries, you seem to be pretty good at it

I love frogs! I see them all the time at university in the evenings. Cute picture, though maybe the umbrella could have a bit more texture?
