Lovely image ... truly shows the "quiet" side of Seagull ... which is no small feat!

Oh, that is a beautiful picture! Seems much friendlier than a Utah seagull.

I thought it was the other way around, they have outer beauty in the plumage and a nasty call that comes from the inside.

they are pretty birds, I was just thinking the other day if you could kind of domesticate one of them so that it was more or less a pet but not in captivity... I don't like birds in houses, but if it were outside however...

I love seagulls! They are very beautiful, and I don't know why so many people dislike them. When I was a kid I used to think that there was this one seagull that followed me around and I thought of her as my pet. I named her Jenny. Now that I'm older, I think "she" was probably any seagull that happened to be near me, (what can I say, I was about 3 years old), though a secret part of my heart still believes that she was mine and she loved me. LOL

You caught this bird in a very beautiful pose, almost graceful like. I really like how the beak looks emphasized. It's a nice complement to its legs.

aw, he's a cutie, and his legs are so skinny. wow. anyways. i like how you took a boring subject, a seagull, and make it much more appealing. the closeup shot is amazing, and i love the expression you captured of him. also, i like your use of depth of field. it really brings him out with the contrast it creates.

They do look quite striking birds, although can cause a problem on our coastal resorts, they are a bit of a pest!!!
Good shot, and gallery.....
