I've been thinking of this pairing along with Chopper/Milky, Kaya/Usopp, Zoro/Tashigi, and Sanji/Pudding for my own works for some time, but I'm kind of hard-pressed in thinking of ways for Cindry to survive at the end of Thriller Bark, embrace her undead status, and still keep in touch with the Straw Hats, even in the event she doesn't join. The best I got is something scientific in nature and that Cindry's living fiancée is no longer alive, and that even if his body was around, they wouldn't have the heart to revive him for ethical reasons.
