ME tooooo! Tales of Monkey Island was like THE GAME that changed my life! ;_; I boosted my english by watching and playing the episodes in english and the game also made me change my art stlye from shitty manga to western! Otherwise I'd still be trying to draw manga faces and fail xD

I had a phase where I would heavily try to imitate the style from the concept art, but I wanted to incorporate some of that into my own style as well! I still think I'm too far away from actual western style, though it is not japanese manga style as well I thought .... When I show some new people my art they usually say I draw manga -_____- I mean I try so hard to have a different style, so either they haven't seen much manga or they just judge me based on my asian looks .... which annoys me a little ...
I understand! Batman was a huuuuge influence as well! xD I have looked up Arkham Asylum images to work with as references when I drew your present! xDD I love to try out different styles.

I actually buyed the book before I even knew what it was about or that it's a TV show! xD They're very cool, but they differ in some ways to the show which is totally ok imo. I think you can also watch the show without reading them
