Description
This piece all began with a doodle I made during a really long class that I got really attached to. I've always loved how the outer senshi were kind of an unconventional family (for their time) and yet, how genuine and loving they were in the Sailor Moon manga. I just pictured them relaxing after a long day of fighting evil or something, heh. It was fun because I rarely draw the outers, even though I really like them.

Anyway, I'm pretty proud of this one. While it took me over 50 hours to do and is one of my only fully-digital pieces, I still find that there's something missing, but all in all, I'm happy with it. It's the sort of piece that had me compelled to draw more and more, and I suspect I could keep adding things forever, but you know... I gotta get back to my life, heh. The objective of this one was also to practice backgrounds some. It's not perfect, but it's the "feel" I was looking for. A sharp-ish condo downtown for a rich-ish race car driver, ya know? I also went for more subdued shading than usual, so maybe that's why it looks weird to me. Who knows.

Anyway, this was done in Photoshop entirely.
