Description I celebrated the opening of my new oil pastels by drawing this. It was fun, I love the bright colors, though it was tricky, it's not a very forgiving medium.

I put it in mixed-media because I edited it a bit in photoshop, like the foot pointing away, it actually did not fit on the paper so I made in in PS.

She's a fairy Yes with no wings again, they're invisible!
She looks alot like my mom

~ Cheers!

PS: Masdevalia is the name of an orange flower [link] it's not the prettiest but it had a pretty name that wasn't Lilly or Marigold and didn't sound like a disease

I love the name, and the colors, I love how the dress fades from blue to green. You really capture the movement well

I like how you experiment with all types of mediums-- such a versatile artist! (and it pays off, too)
Very nice sense of movement with the pose & swirling flower stems.

Nothing like christening a new set of supplies.
Gorgeous colours and the movement is truly like she's celebrating;spring flowers, your new oil pastels, well everything!
Yes I guess flowers have weird names. There's nasturtium, another orange flower. But I guess that wouldn't work either!

skin is uber tricky though lol it was interesting to mix different colors to get different shades
And details is nigh impossible unless you're working big scale. I used a B pencil for the eyes
