i'd love to see how something like this is done from start to finish. I've found myself rather fascinated by puppet building and fabrication but have had very minimal luck with finding good classes or tutorials, other than the workshop i took with Wendy of course xD (She definitely instigated this love of mine haha)

Do his ears wiggle? I've always dreamed of making this sort of thing. I draw all my drawings imagining them as puppets.

This is defiantly a work of art. It's rather sad that the art of puppet making for movies has gave way to computer animation. It's nice to see that there are still a few films out there that still use puppets.

This is awesome, can't believe so few people have said anything about it yet. i want to learn how to make latex foam puppets. is he a stop motion puppet? anyway this is great!

thanks, no he's not for stop motion he's a hand puppet. there are some good books on the market for stop motion puppetry just have a look on amazon. and for aminitures this is quite a useful site - [link]
foam and latex are pretty easy to use eg make a plaster mould of your object fill with latex leave for a couple of hours depending on the thickness you desire it to be then tip out the excess latex. use a 2 part foam like a nice j-foam, paint a thin layer of part b (the smaller usually darker fluid) into the latex skinned mould (this allows the foam to bind to the latex)then mix up the foam mix quickly pour into the mould swish around to ensure it binds to the sides then wait til it starts to foam and quickly cover over the pour hole to keep the foam under a bit of pressure then slowly release.
foamlatex is a bit more hit and miss, and the process is slightly different.
there are also quite a few nice foams with latex like skins on the market not sure where you'd get these from in america but i know compleat sculptor and bentley's are based over there and i would think deliver.
best thing to learn is just just have a go. good luck Liz.
