Description These were some sketches done for a project in my Design class. My teacher [an extremely passionate fine artist ] wanted us to recreate our own version of Picasso's Bull. Earlier that week, my animation teacher was telling us how we should try to create work specific to our major, so I tried to draw it in motion! A few of the drawings are pretty stiff... but I think as I kept going, I was getting more confident with the form.

I need to figure out a few loose ends with my abstracted version, but it'll be up sometime this week.

Have you considered looking at the bone structure for a lion? There was a book which had elaborate pencil sketches of animals from Dover publications that I always found helpful. Looking at a lion's skeleton would help you understand where the elbow and shoulder are. It's great to see you challenging yourself with this!
