I forgot how much I enjoyed pen and ink until I started playing with it again. I plan to do some more pen and ink work soon because I just bought some Copic Multiliners and PITT artist pens, and I have to play

Oooh, you use Copic?Β I use mostly micron (I buy in bulk so I have a TON) and I also have the new electronic Dotspen that I really love (makes stippling so much faster!).Β How do you like Copic?Β It seems everyone I know is going Copic - even long time hardcore Prismacolor people!Β I've been eyeing them - I may try out the fine line to see how they stipple.

I have not heard of the Dotspen but will have to look out for it. When I first started doing pen and ink (over 30 years ago) *coughs-getting old-coughs*,Β I used Rotring technical pens in different thicknesses. These were incredibly good for stippling.Β I have not yet had much chance to stipple with the Copic fineliners, I mostly crosshatch with them, but I imagine that would be quite good.
I do like the Copic, but notice that the very fine ones catch on paper that isn't completely smooth, and are not my most favourite for working over watercolour as they do tend to bleed if the paper is slightly damp. However, I find that the PITT pens are great for over watercolour as they seem to be more water proof. The fine Copics pens also have a little trouble over the top of the waxy Prismacolours on occasion, but the broader nibs seem fine.... but that's just my observation

The result is breathtaking. I should give it a try. My last attempts at stipple/pointillism were back when I was a kid, we did some at school XD
