Description Β©2011
Entry for local Wacom contest. The theme is Paradox.
Inspiration for this work came from a story written by Han Feizi, a Chinese philosopher. It is about a merchant who boast that he got a spear that could penetrate any shield and a shield that could withstand any spear attack. The spear is represented by Gungnir, while the shield is represented by Aegis.

(err...actually I don't like typing stuff this much... -__- )

did you give permission to GreekMythology.com to use this on their site/app? they have it on there and claim all images are used with permission.

Ah, sorry for the very late reply and thanks for informing about this matter. Though I do not give them permission in any way, shape, or form, but I don't mind it at all since at least they give proper credit. Hey, free publication and all

yeah, but they've harvested a lot of stuff off of dA without permission. they may have credited, but what they're doing is illegal since they're not obtaining permission to use it AND they're falsely claiming they did get permission.

This is awesome and all, but I thought the Greek shields were round.

Sorry, for the nitpickΒ , but it bugs me a bit thought everything else is awesomeΒ . The story behind it made my head for a moment.Β
