Despite being a wealthy heiress, her 20’s were spent filled with growing animosity for the “cruel” hand fate had dealt her in stealing the future she had worked so hard for.

It wasn’t until an unfortunate farming accident in Columbia while on a visit to one of the Venturi bean farms that the final turn in her twisted psyche came.

Unbeknownst to the workers, Venturi’s agricultural genetics department had been developing autonomous plants capable of harvesting and maintaining crops themselves-and transplanting them to various facilities in secret. Unfortunately, these particular plants took considerably more than sunlight and a little rain to function-and typically resorted to devouring local wildlife for sustenance.

When the heiress insisted on investigating “an unusual looking bulb” she had seen on the helicopter ride in, the farmhands were hesitant to oblige-but saying ‘no’ to a Venturi is simply not something one does.

Upon reaching the site, nobody was aware that most of the animals had deserted the area-leaving the abomination they were investigating rather famished. The two farmhands and her bodyguard were immediately ensnared by the horrific tendrils of what looked like an enormous rice plant with teeth in its center-before inhaling each unfortunate victim in a single gulp.

Rather than be horrified, Venturi was fascinated by the site-almost feeling some sort of twisted kinship with the plant. Perhaps it was something to do with her scent, or maybe just pure luck, but the beast had no interest in devouring her-rather, it was quite content to let her approach it.

After arranging for the transport of the monster to her own estate, Audrey Venturi’s pet project soon became to expedite the development of similar creatures for her own amusement. A nefarious business partnership with the Collector ensures her stocks are never empty-damsels captured from across the globe to feed her most treasured creations are sent regularly-with the spectacle of feeding time remaining one of Audrey’s favorite activities.

Occasionally, the odd snoop or rude reporter makes their way to the estate-to which Miss Venturi always has “something truly fascinating to show them” beneath her estate.
