I love music, and I love bright colours plus it's summer so I thought I'd make something which to me represents the feeling I get when I listen to music: passion, energy, love, life and melancholy.To me orange means energy and freshness, red is passion, blue is life (water, sky) and also represents 'the blues' -- sad and melancholic music, which I also love.
It took me quite a while to make the swirls, anker point by anker point, making sure they were slightly overlapping at the edges. My original idea was to make the swirls with ornate music note patterns, but it proved too time consuming.
Anyway, I wanted to keep it simple and think it works -- for me anyway.

Hmm, weird -- I uploaded the t-shirt design on the 5th of july USA time -- it was the 6th of July here in Sweden but since it's the USA time that counts I hope it doesn't matter? Does anyone know?

No no, I assumed that the shirt wrapped around the sides and onto the back, which would be 3 surfaces vs. the 2 that are allowed. Don't mind me. I've hit my head on a lot of things in my lifetime.

Ah! Well, I did think about wrapping the pattern onto the back (since I didn't use any of the sleaves), but ran out of time unfortunately -- I didn't discover the competition untill 3 days before the deadline, so I had to rush to get it done in time... That will teach me to log in more frequently!
BTW, been there, done that!

Thank you kindly! Heh, I didn't think of that, it's not meant to look as if the head is cut off, more that the face is viewed from underneath and the heart represents the love I have for music. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it!

it looks stunning and colorfull, it's like a slap on my face of colors 
I prefer the application on white because on the other colors the words lose legibility
