MUAHAHAH, expert? me? ihih, not even think about it, i just love and respect the ocean in every aspect. And i'm not even trying to teach you, this are only comments that maybe will help you a bit, comming from a portuguese writing in english to a spanish, the laguage barrier doesnt help much too. But, and since i dont have any ideia what is your know-how over photography, and like i said, i dont have any pretencion in "teaching", if you dont already know this acount photo-class[link] it really could help you a lot. But remenber, tecnique doesnt make the photography, it only helps in the achievement of conceps and ideas. Tell me later what you think of this photo class acount. I think lots of people in this comunity should take a look at it.

I think that from the point you like it so much and have respect, I can consider you somehow expert. My knowledge about photography is very short... so all kind of comments are always welcome
And this photo class account is AWESOME!!! When I'm on holidays I think I'll read it all... all the topics indexed in their tutorials sound interesting... I hope I can improve my technique with that, thanks a lot! ^^

Like the fading toward the horizon & the crispness of the forground . . . & yes, the horizon would look better horizontal

I like the fact the contrast is so low actually, it gives a more accurate depiction of a feeling of the remembrance of seascapes rather than what you actually see when you are there. I think you should leave it the way it is.
It is an alternative aesthetic to this reoccuring theme as you said, and changing it would diminish it in an other picture of the sea.
Don't you think?

what you say it is so interesting, as it is what I liked of the pic, but couldn't turn it into words... it's not only the picture, but that day was already autumn, there was no people in the beach, plus it is one with no buildings nearby... and there was a very special light, very evocative, like in those dreams you can't see exactly what's happening, maybe this is why it makes you thing of rememberance... I really appreciatep your comment, thanks!

nice shot... anyway, you could make the horitzon horitzontal... and probably this pic could improve by adding some contrast, or adjusting hue&saturation...
