Description
Well, with my mood getting better I decided to draw. Yes, another pony. This time a VERY old oc that was along with my other old pony oc Dr. Cryptic; the mad scientist pony who rides out a zombie apocalypse in his techy lab tower. Caustic originally was a greenish colour but I made some changes to his old design and made it cleaner. With all this “Mlp virus/Infection AU” art Trend going around it inspired me to revive my own old zombie/apocalypse mlp world from my older drawing days. It’s fitting anyway, although my apocalypse world i won’t do an MLP Infection AU of it, since it already was that kind of thing.

Status: Undead bio mechanical pony. Has the zombie disease himself but was specially engineered to act differently.
Occupation: Protects Dr. Cryptic’s lab tower from undead that get too close and May cause problems.

Personality:

- Blunt
- Cruel
- Mostly Intelligent
- Irritable
- Somewhat dopey at times

Abilities:
- Electric Sonic Boom
- Storm Control
- Caustic blast (this is a variant of his primary sonic boom, although instead of binding electric shock to it, he incorporates his caustic nature, making the blast capable of melting a degree of flesh.

- Caustic was originally a friend of Dr Cryptic before the apocalypse broke out. The mad scientist went into hiding in his lab tower, but his friend got caught up in the chaos below, getting bitten and then making a long journey to his old friend’s Lab; hoping that maybe he’d be cured. Dr. Cryptic had no cure to offer his old friend, but took him in anyway despite knowing he’d eventually turn undead. Caustic accepted his fate and asked that his friend use his soon to be undead body to research the strange disease in hopes a cure could be possibly made.

When Caustic died and came back undead, Dr Cryptic stuck to his promise and did as much research on him as he could, but to no avail and no cure. Instead he was able to create a special mechanical brain implant that could give Caustic back some cognitive functions. He didn’t expect much to happen from it and honestly didn’t expect it to work at all- but was surprised to see that it made Caustic rather intelligent for an undead. Enough that he could form basic speech, thought and decision making. With this breakthrough, Dr Cryptic was able to train Caustic to obey basic commands such as protecting him and patrolling the outsides of the lab tower defensively. The only downfall to the implant was that it didn’t stop Caustic from wanting to bite and eat the living, so a steel muzzle piece was made to solve this issue.
