Description Name: Suzette Olmstead
Age: 74
Gender: Female
Race: Lucid
Height: 4' 11"
Weapon: Head piece (promptly named 'Tybalt' which means 'one who sees')
Tybalt: In rest, her semblence remains a simple ring band on her right ring finger. But when active, Tybalt grants her vision. Acting as a cap, there is a strange set of eyes placed on each side. These eyes become her own, allowing her to even better than the average being.

Tybalt's eyes can manuver to almost any angle, allowing her to see not only infront of her, but behind, beside, above, and below as well. As her experience with her semblence progressives, she will be able to magnify, and even split her vision two-way. Her exceeding vision would make her an excellent scout.

To activate use of one of the eyes, her own eyes must be shut. If she were to leave her left eye open and her right closed, then she could only see from Tybalt's right eye.
Another downside to Tybalt's ability is trying to split her vision. A task which can easily leave Suzette dizzy. To split the vision, absolute focus would have to be given. If accomplished, the result would be the ability to have both eyes moving in opposite directions for faster scanning. However, doing this in her premature experience would likely lead to fast moving blurs...To be able to seperate both lines of vision succesfully, could prove to be a great attribute though.

Being the pacifist that she is, Suzette Generally uses her abilities to aid her when tending to injuries or basically what may seem to be trivial household tasks.

Personality: Suzette was a very insightful girl for her age. She had always seemed to have a gift for seeing the entirety of things. There was never just one method of taking care of anything, rather there was always a method of sorting out the messes…sometimes, it just took time to think it over; time being something Suzette was in no short supply of. She also seemed to have a knack for seeing other’s emotions, picking up hints and signs through little details such as the way they spoke. Suzette had plenty of time to ponder over these strange things.

Considering her actual age, Suzette has a very mature, very peaceful way about her, which can seem very inviting to most. However, when Suzette had reached a certain age, she had a maternal longing to start a family. But given her condition she knew that this would not be possible. So in return, she also tends to act very parental with people, often giving them pet names like 'dear' or 'love' and at times can act very much like an old lady. Whether she realizes she is doing this or not, it can leave people feeling a bit akward to be babied by a small child.

Mostly, she enjoys the company of others and finds great pleasure in being helpful. But sometimes that can lead to more trouble than good. With her vision being as bad as it is, commencing tasks without the use of her Semblence can lead to understandable mishaps if the surroundings aren't familiar. Approaching the wrong person, or putting the wrong ingrediant into a cup of tea has been known to happen once or twice...But she has made herself plenty capable so as not to be too needed in fear of having to revert back to a lifestyle as sheltered and lonely as the one she suffered in her home world.

History: Although one would not guess it today, Suzette was born in Paris France, to a family who was not necessarily wealthy per say, but moderately well off. However it was quickly discovered that her vision was poor and only getting worse. So Suzette became the constant fret and worry of her parents. They waited upon her, and showered her with affection and tenderness, as if some sort of porcelain doll. And being the young little tot that she was, the attention was enjoyable. She was a princess in her small, protected world.

But as the years passed, the princess’s world grew more and more fuzzy…And it was by her tenth birthday that Suzette was near blind. What had seemed like loving affection now became restrictions and imprisonment. Instead of being a princess, she was a prisoner who was spoken to softly. And being the center of her parents’ life was no longer such a blessing.

“Stay away from the stairs Suzette!” Her father would panic…

“Do not leave your room Suzette!” Her mother would cry…

“It is not safe for you to be alone Suzette!” They would explain…

When Suzette had turned twelve, she was taken outside to play for the first time in such a very long time. Her parent’s nerves were put to the test as they watched her roll in the grass of their front yard. She had enjoyed her time feeling the warm summer air and touching the textures of flowers from the garden. It had been so long since she had played so wholeheartedly. So long that she had forgotten the scent of the garden’s bluebeards and lilacs. So long that she had forgotten how rough the bricks of her house were…

So long that she had forgotten that her parents had removed the yard’s little white picket fence three years ago…

Suzette had chased her ball all the way into the street and the last thing she could remember before waking up in REM, was the screeching of the breaks from the vehicle which had hit her.

Perhaps it was her being a child which made it easier to adapt than other Lucids. She was warmly adopted into a family in Parallel who helped her to better grasp her independence, and learn to function better despite her blindness. It was a life which she had quickly become fond of.

Through the years she has lived in REM, many things had changed; but being a Lucid, her body remained as small and youthful as the day she arrived. Though she matured greatly as one would expect a now 74-year old woman to do.
