Date: 1st May 1963
NWR No.5 ‘James’ waits at Wellsworth with an empty troop train while NWR No.2 ‘Edward’ is spotted in the background. Even by this late stage of the war, many sentent vehicles injuries from the initial strike were still visible, it wouldn’t be until months after the war ended that many of their scars and burns would be properly treated.
