Description I started working on this a while ago but, like my recent Sirius drawing, left it unfinished for various reasons. Know that it is
still sketchy and not as polished as I would have liked but I feel that under my present circumstances it's the best I can do. The model
I used was in a different pose which I didn't like and I tried to compensate but my lack of figure drawing worked against me. Maybe when I feel more confident and creative I'll try her again but I wanted to put up something new as a kind of Thank You to everyone for all the kindness and ncouragement! I really, really appreciate it! I like the hair at least

After seeing a smaller version of this on the Lexicon, I have been searching for this pic for ages...finally! Love this, I dont know why this is ion scraps....It is a darn sight better than I could do...I love it. Although I picture her hair to be slightly different regarding shape, I can really see Tonks doing this style. Well done!

Speaking of the lexicon, how did you get noticed by them: I have been trying for ages to get some of my art through to them....???

Thankyou for the art (god: I feel like abba!) and looking forward to any advice that can be given at my gallery!

Well, thanks again! I put this drawing in scraps because it was never really finished and I wasn't totally happy with it. At some point I should re-draw her but I still have so many other characters that I haven't done.
As for getting them in the Lexicon...I've "known" Steve Vander Ark from the early days of the Harry Potter For Grown-Ups Group and when he started up the Lexicon and started featuring fan art, I wrote to him and asked him if he would be interested in using some of mine! Since then some of the other moderators have written me asking to use one or another of my drawings. I can't tell you how flattered I am by it all.

lol! yes! it's tonks! now I'm gonna have a visual in my mind of how she looks in the book when I read it. true this is your version of her, but hot dang I thing it's right on, or at least the essence of Tonk's spirit. your works are simple incredible kudos to you! *hands you a kudos bar, the chocolate covered kind of course*

*lol* No, but thanks for the compliment! The picture is really small and I think that by enlarging it , it looks kind of like I used stippling to shade it. I's in my scraps because I never quite finished it and wasn't all that thirilled with the results except for her hair and eyes

ah...ok...so used to having large pictures all the time i forgot that happens.
Anyway, i learned from experience that it takes a lot of patience to use stippling the way you want it to, (homework assignment. Lost my patience soon after starting)...so...ya...

This is how i've always imagined her to look! I love her big eyes (they look like mine!) and her pouty lips. The hair is absolutely fabulous. Honestly, I think the only thing that might bother me just a tad is her neck isn't necessarily too long, it's just a tad thin. But again, that isn't anything big. I hope you're able to post more again soon. I miss seeing your stuff in my messages! It looks good, hon.

Awww...Thanks! I actually have two older drawings that I reworked (because I never liked them and because I was bored and not able to come up with anything new) that I was thinking of posting. One is of Luna Lovegood and the other is of a young Peter Pettigrew. I'm not sure if I feel confident enough to post them (don't think I could handle the negetive feedback! )

Ohmygosh! Her hair looks disturbingly like some of the do's kids at my school sport!

She does look a bit like her neck is broken. Stupid bad model's positions. Why can't all artists have an anatomically correct dummy that you can pose however you like and the muscles will perfectly echo that of a human in that position?

*lol* Take some pictures-maybe I could use them as models! And I like your idea-someone should definitely come up with something like that! It would be so much easier to figure draw then to have to beg family members to pose for you!

That's crazy good! The face looks a bit big in porportion to her body, but other then that it's great. The hair is funky!

The hair looks awesome! XD So does her face! I love her lips. The head, looks a bit... I dunno, like it doesn't belong there. But that's not a big prob, cause her head looks awesome. So Tonks-like!

I like her expression..I always pictured Tonks to look like Pink. The head looks a little large but eh, I understand what you mean about werid positioning.

Thanks Yeah, I know besides her head her neck looked a little too thin or her shoulder wasn't wide enough or something. Very frustrating!
