I did this piece shortly after the Dr. Manhattan in Vietnam one, but it's taken me this long to complete it. Rorschach is such a complex character that I wanted the mood to fit. I'm from New York so I didn't need a reference pic for the skyline, but I did of course look a bit at the graphic novel.Initially I was unhappy with the color and tones of the skyline as it came out in my sketchbook, so when I scanned it I changed it up a bit. I also had an inner debate about how to crop the image, and since I couldn't really come up with a solution I have presented the entire (well, 97%) image.

Yeah, I treasure my Absolute Watchmen like no other comic I own. I also enjoyed the film but can see how people wouldn't get it at first.

I actually havnt read it yet. I borrowed it from a friend after i watched and loved the movie. But im kinda waiting for the movie to get out of my head before i start reading it so i wont be comparing them.
