so, roughly around 10-12 hours on the whole project, spread out over about three days.
I'm doing the tutorial I asked about, in one of my recent polls, on this picture. There will be a basic one, with just the steps (sketch, lineart, base colours, shading, background, effects) which will branch off into another six tutorials which will go further into each step. there will be a link to each tutorial in this picture and the primary tutorial.
please keep in mind, these tutorials are just showing you what I do, I shouldn't really call them tutorials, they're more like step-by-step displays of what I do when I draw.

i used Paint Tool SAI to do the sketch, lineart, and colouring of the characters, and Photoshop CS3 for the background.

Right now I'm trying to do art in Microsoft paint, which is okayish, and in CorelDraw, which is great but won't let me post stuff.

Corel personify as the older sibling who doesn't want to do anything. So Corel/the older sibling hides the way to correctly save files or export files for Deviant Art.
MS Paint I personify as the younger sibling who wants to be just as good as the older siblings but doesn't have as much talent yet. But at least the younger sibling/MS Paint is friendly.
