Description

Foamed head WIP photos of Sylkis dragon. I am really proud of how this one is coming along! The horns were only pinned on for the photos, because I’m going to cover them before permanently attaching them. A bit of an adventure there, I’ll get it eventually though. He’s going to be a fairly toothy dragon too, lots of little parts to work on.

Looks great!

One question, how did you get the horns to look so smooth? I'm working on a dragon suit myself and would love some help and tips!

I've tried my hand at a dragon suit myself.  ( thoaee.deviantart.com/art/Drag… )
I love how you've managed to get that sleek design around the head. Something I tried for mine but didn't succeed in doing. What did you use to mount the parts together, to fix them on the head (glue?). That almost looks like a foam base. And with the foam base, is it still easy to fit/remove the head on the wearer? I found with mine that I had leave part of the back 'open' and install a zipper to allow the wearer to put it on. Any tips?
Is that a static or a moving jaw btw?

Thanks! It's all foam and hot glue. If you'll notice, I've bulked out the neck of the mannequin head underneath, so it is in fact easy to put on and remove. I'm not super claustrophobic, but enough that the idea of being zipped into the head sounds very frightening, especially knowing that a lot of people don't know how to properly install one- I'd be scared of being trapped in the costume.
Static jaw, as with all my heads.
