I think that your pose it just so powerful for one your not showing any signs what so ever of being afraid of doing this kind of art you have mastered the fact that this art takes a lot more then one thinks. Also your choice of the pose says that you know art and you are not afraid to show what it takes to make art.

This is a beautiful photo, and I think it deserves placement in a beautiful setting (as you'll see in the link), so thank you very much for it, my dear Sophie.

do you pose for art students or something like that? your poses remind me wen i had drawing classes in beaux arts college

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

lockstock In reply to kokaj [2005-04-30 06:07:38 +0000 UTC]

I have only modeled once for an art class. When I think of poses, I think of Classical paintings I've admired. Or pin-ups.
I'd love to model for art classes because I'd get PAID. heh. I think the going rate is about $20 an hour or so.

kokaj In reply to lockstock [2005-05-01 19:50:16 +0000 UTC]

in portugal the models for art classes got payed about 20 to 25 Euros an hour and trust me you make better poses than many of them, thats wy i asked you if you did posing for a living because must of your poses are very classical, and exploring not only standing positions as the body in motion. I can't understand how someone with your figure and "natural touch" to posing can't find more jobs doing that because here my teachers were allways desperate to find good models for the classes and i even had to find some friends who wanted to pose for the money but the truth is that they weren't so good at it ..
anyhow .. the best luck for you and carry on

if you use a digital camera, and i'm guessing you do, you may want to check your ISO settings to try to get rid of some of the graininess.

lockstock In reply to EidosPsogos [2005-04-27 17:43:06 +0000 UTC]

Yes, it's digital. I'm a total ignoramus when it comes to settings and so on. I'm a point-and-click kinda gal. I'll experiment around and see if I can make them come out truer. Thank you for commenting! I like getting helpful suggestions.

well, don't take it too much to heart. most of your images are very clean. i just noticed that a couple of the latest had a slight amount of graininess.

That would be the camera remote.

Bloodywedd In reply to lockstock [2008-03-04 10:10:57 +0000 UTC]

You can work the camera's remote with your TOES, then?

I usually just use a camera with a timer (and set it for enough time to jump in front of the lens and strike a pose).

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

lockstock In reply to Bloodywedd [2008-03-04 20:28:23 +0000 UTC]

LOL, I used to do that too. This camera has a few seconds' pause so after I hit the button on the remote, I have just enough time to drop it or toss it out of frame. But if I toss it, sometimes I can't find it right away.

Bloodywedd In reply to lockstock [2008-03-10 18:05:10 +0000 UTC]

...especially if it skids under the couch or somesuch.
